A series of free, hour-long high-intensity Workout Tours are being held ahead of two huge Spartan Middle East races in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

For the uninitiated, Spartan Race is one of the most intense and challenging yet rewarding races you can take part in, featuring huge obstacles set over multiple kilometres.

The obstacle course races test your strength, your wits and your determination and, if you want to get a good timing, require a bit of prior training.

Race organisers have teamed up with Warehouse Gym to lay on special sessions for those interested in the upcoming Spartan Races.

The first free workouts will take place on Sunday September 28 in two sessions at Warehouse Gym in Yas Bay.

Running in two classes, you can sign up for either the 11.30am or 12.30am sessions ahead of the upcoming race at Al Ain Zoo on October 11-12.

Two more sessions will be held the following week on Sunday October 5 at the Warehouse Gym in Al Quoz and Dubai Science Park from 11am until noon.

Each class will feature Warehouse Gym’s new Spartan Strong workout. It’s a high-intensity, full-body training session inspired by the demands of a Spartan course. There will be a mix of running intervals, weighted carries, climbs, and functional bodyweight drills designed to improve endurance, power and resilience.

Sessions have proved to be popular already, with sign-ups filling up fast. If you’re interested in any of the free workout sessions, then you’ll need to sign up in advance here.

There are two more Spartan Middle East races coming before the end of the year with a ‘Trifecta Weekend’ being held at Al Ain Zoo on Saturday October 11 and Sunday October 12 as well as a collab weekend with Tough Mudder at Wadi Hub in Hatta as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge on Saturday November 1 and Sunday November 2.
