UAE has ranked first in the Middle East and ninth globally in the US News Best Countries rankings.

“The power sub ranking is based on an equally weighted average of scores from five country attributes that relate to a country’s power: a leader, economically influential, politically influential, strong international alliances and strong military,” the website states.

On Sunday, The UAE is looking forward to an even brighter future in the year ahead said, President Sheikh Mohamed.

In a message on social media, the UAE President said the new year is an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s progress and also look ahead to future endeavours.

He reaffirmed his ambitions and relentless spirit for advancement.

“As we welcome the new year, we reflect with gratitude on how far we have come as a nation and renew our commitment to creating an even brighter future together,” Sheikh Mohamed said.

“We pray that the year ahead brings peace and happiness to the people of the UAE, the region and the world.”
